Neighborhood Breakdown, Where to Stay in Bangkok?

Bangkok district map

Helpful Map of Bangkok’s major districts provided by Global Gallivanting

Before you go booking your stay at one of the many boutique hotels in Bangkok, you’ll need to know which districts or neighborhood you want want to stay at. Of course this all depends on your travel style and Bangkok’s districts are all distinct in what they offer for travelers. Below are 3 of the main districts that are popular with tourists, and are great areas to stay if you want to center yourself in certain aspects of Bangkok.

Old Town (Rattanakosin / Yaowarat / Riverside)

Bangkok Old Town Charoenkrung Rattanakosin Yaowarat Chao Phraya Riverside

Humble family owned restaurants like this is what makes the old town shine

The Old Town district of Bangkok, which includes the areas of Chareon Krung, Yaowarat (amazing street food there btw), Rattanakosin, and the Chao Phraya Riverside, is home most of the major landmarks and attractions in Bangkok. Among the many temples in Bangkok, the big 3, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and Wat Phra Kaew (and Grand Palace) are the all located in the Rattanakosin area, and to explore I recommend this lovely tour I went on, the Three Temples Tour which also included a visit to the Grand Palace AND a heritage river cruise, and it was so convenient, especially if you’re a first time visitor to Bangkok.

And this charming old world aesthetic is one of the reasons why many of the best boutique hotels in Bangkok are located in this district. This area has a lot of history and cultural significance, so if you’re the type of couple who likes to really dig deep into exploring the rich culture or likes to take a lot of aesthetic photos, then the Old town is where you’ll want to stay. The Riverside area along the Chao Phraya River not only provides amazing views of the sun setting at Wat Arun, but it’s also quieter, full of art and culture (checkout the River City Bangkok mall), trendy cafes, and home to a lot of famous boutique hotels in Bangkok like the iconic Lebua State Tower.

My favorite place to taste real Thai street food, Yaowarat (Chinatown) is just a short Tuk-tuk ride away. If you and your partner are foodies then you’ll be able to eat some of the most life changing street food you’ll ever have. Fish Maw Soup, Stir Fried Noodles, Legendary Rice and Curry stalls, Crispy Pork Belly, among many other delicious eats.

So to sum up, the Old Town district is perfect for if you want to fully immerse yourself in Thai culture while also staying at some of the best boutique hotels in Bangkok complete with a vintage style charm.

Siam / Pathumwan Area

Bangkok Siam Pathumwan District

Being in my mid 20s, I feel too old to be at Siam Square, everyone here is so trendy

Guys, if your girl likes glamorous fashion and expensive Gucci handbags, and girls, if your guy likes the Lego Star Wars Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser™ then staying at a boutique hotel in Bangkok’s central shopping district is the right move. The area of Siam and Pathumwan is modern Bangkok at it’s commercial peak, all of the most notable shopping malls are here, Siam Paragon, MBK, CentralWorld, (among many other shopping malls you can read about here), as well as the trendy walking street of Siam Square. From luxury brands to fast fashion, to thrift store finds, everything you can think of is located in this district. Not to mention they’re all within walking distance and accessible via the BTS skytrain.

In terms of attractions, you won’t find many temples or historical landmarks, aside from the world famous Jim Thompson House, home of the former CIA operative turned businessman who revolutionize the Thai silk industry. Instead you’ll find a plethora of modern entertainment like the Madame Toussaud’s wax figure museum, the massive SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World aquarium, and the dozens of escape rooms, art museums, VR game rooms, pop up art installations, among many other things.

And to compliment your boutique hotel stays, Siam is also home to plenty of boutique cafes and restaurants. Especially just a few minutes walk away form Siam Square where you can find Ban Thad Thong street, due to the area being close Chulalongkorn University, many innovative and trendy food stalls and restaurants open here, catering to the university students as well as the tourists and locals alike.

So, like I said, if your man want’s to shop for a Lego Icons: The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr™, and your woman wants to snap photos at Instagram-able cafes, then staying at one of the many boutique hotels in Bangkok’s Siam area is a great option.

Sukhumvit (Asoke / Phrom Phong / Thonglor)

Bangkok Sukhumvit Asoke Phrom Phong Thonglor

Asoke Montri Road is one of the most photographed roads in Bangkok, probably

Sukhumvit is one of Bangkok’s most vibrant and cosmopolitan districts, and it’s an area packed with fancy restaurants, cocktail bars, international cafes, and the shopping conglomerate that is the “Em District”. If you're the type of couple who enjoys western comforts and nightlife then the areas of Thonglor, Ekkamai, Asoke, and Phrom Phong are especially great places to find some of the most stylish boutique hotels in Bangkok, often featuring rooftop pools, full service spas, and interiors that feel more like design studios rather than traditional hotel rooms.

Like I said, Sukhumvit is a more international area, so you can expect to find a lot of cafes and restaurants serving western snacks, pastries, and cuisines. The area of Asoke is especially ripe with these sorts of things, like the famous Terminal 21 Shopping Mall with its insanely cheap food court, A scattering of international restaurants like Italian (Pala Pizza Romana is my absolute favorite), and Indian (Amritsr is fabulous), and Westernized coffee shops like the Holey Artisan Bakery and Artis.

Over at Phrom Phong is where you’ll find a lot of Japanese influence along with nice green parks like the Benchasiri Park, and the trio of the shopping malls, Emporium, Emquartier, and Emsphere, hence the name of the aforementioned “Em District”. Though I would only recommend eating at Emsphere, shopping there is pretty lackluster, aside from the IKEA on the top floor. While shopping is nice, I think the Japanese influence is what gives Phrom Phong its identity. You’ll find a large Japanese community here so expect to find plenty of Izakayas, Karaoke Bars, Ramen shops, and Japanese supermarkets.

The Thonglor and Ekkamai areas are where you can find plenty of nightlife, jazz bars, rooftop bars, and more especially at Thonglor. Honestly I don’t visit these places often, with me being a massive introvert and all, but the option is there if you enjoy those things. But even if you’re not a partying sort of couple, If you want to surround yourself in the liberal modern vibes of the city then the best boutique hotels in Bangkok can be found in Sukhumvit.

How to Choose the Right Boutique Hotel in Bangkok

Bangkok boutique hotels La Petite Salil

La Petit Salil is a very nice classic European style boutique hotel

Okay, now that we’ve got location all sorted, now comes the fine details. Obviously this part is different for every couple but in general, when looking at the many boutique hotels in Bangkok, everyone wants some form of comfort, and maybe a bit of luxury pampering right? For me, every time I go on a staycation or an overnight exploration to parts of Bangkok, my partner and I always want a bathtub or a private jacuzzi in our room so that we can bathe the night away with maybe a bath bomb form LUSH.

So here are some key amenities, benefits, and facilities you should look out for in a boutique hotel:

  • King or Queen sized beds - You want a good amount of space to comfortably sleep among other activities that one might do on their bed with their significant other… Like building pillow forts.

  • Bathtubs - Combined with dim lighting and a bath bomb, what could be more romantic and relaxing?

  • Private balconies - So you can both sip a cup of hot tea or coffee while admiring the views of Bangkok early in the morning

  • Rooftop pool - Or any kind of pool is good for having fun

  • Breakfast - On-site breakfast buffets, or room service

  • Spa - Big plus if they have couple spa treatment options

  • Free Wi-Fi - A hotel without free Wi-Fi in this day and age is just diabolical

Anyways, these are just a few examples of what to consider when looking for boutique hotels in Bangkok. Especially if you want to make your holiday with your special someone well… Special.

A Note About Airbnb

Illegal. Well more specifically, short term apartment rentals (less than 30 days) are illagel because they do not have a hotel license, this law is actually enforced and not onyl apply to Airbnbs but residential condominiums and apartments throughout Thailand.

I had a cousin and his family traveling in from America who booked a stay at an Airbnb and he told me that the whole process was very sketchy, from actually finding the place to checking in, etc… Makes sense as the owners are operating against the law and thus want to keep quiet about it.

So just be aware…

Best Boutique Hotels in Old Town

Hotel Once Bangkok

Hotel Once Bangkok

This is what I’m talking about with the bathtubs, I love this design!

Hotel Once Bangkok instantly feels romantic and thoughtfully crafted for couples looking for boutique hotels in Bangkok. This hotel is situated near the Chao Phraya River and it’s only a 5 minute walk away from Asiatique The Riverfont, a riverside mall with tons of restaurants, shops, and performances, perfect for a late evening stroll.

I stayed here once in the Executive Jacuzzi Room, which has this amazingly dreamy whirlpool tub beneath a wide studio style window integrated right into the bedroom, if only my gf and I had a glass of wine at the time… Of course the beds feel as comfy as it can be and the premium toiletries, fluffy robes, and plush slippers are a nice extra.

As for Hotel Once Bangkok’s facilities, you’ll find everything that you’ll expect from boutique hotels in Bangkok, although there is no gym sadly… But there is a rooftop restaurant called the Top Knot Bar & Restaurant where you can try out some cocktails while gazing into the Chao Phraya River. Breakfast in bed is also available and the service is very friendly, with complimentary welcome drinks and even anniversary cakes for couples.

Pros

  • Great location near Chao Phraya River and the Asiatique mall

  • Romantic Executive Jacuzzi rooms that are great for couples

  • Rooftop bar & restaurant with river views as well as breakfast in bed options

  • Amazingly friendly and warm hospitality

Cons

  • No gym

  • The walls are thin, so you’ll often hear a lot of noise from cars or people out and about

Shanghai Mansion Bangkok

Old world money kind of vibes at Shanghai Mansion

In the heart of Bangkok’s Chinatown, Yaowarat is a hotel that is fittingly designed with the glamour of 1930s Shanghai, the Shanghai Mansion Bangkok, fancy velvet armchairs, carved four poster beds, ornate silk, and a dramatic red bridge over an indoor koi pond, are we even in Bangkok anymore?

The rooms at this boutique hotel in Bangkok is romantic and heavy with the theme-ing. Of course you get all the usual amenities but the showcase here, are some of the larger suites like the Mu Dan Suite or Ying Hua Deluxe Room which includes an indoor freestanding bathtub and believe it or not, a BUTLER service, I’m serious.

For the facilities, You can find a modern Chinese dim sum restaurant called the Red Rose Restaurant and the Cotton Club where you can enjoy a live jazz performance with a cocktail. Aside from that is the Spa Burasari, that offers complimentary spa treatments like a once per night one hour Thai Massage. Also you’re be right at the doorstep of Yaowarat, the street food central of Bangkok.

Pros

  • Located right in Chinatown with an immersive 1930s Shanghai decor to match

  • Free complimentary experiences: dim-sum high tea, Thai massage & tuk-tuk service

  • Good on site dining options plus easy access to Yaowarat street

  • You can have a butler, I mean come on.

Cons

  • No pool or rooftop terrace.

  • Some rooms are a bit dim as they lack natural light and external windows (opaque glass only).

  • Breakfast buffet is not included but can be purchased for an additional cost

Lebua at State Tower

Lebua at State Tower

When looking for rooftop restaurants, the Lebua State Tower will always come up

Lebua at State Tower is probably one of the most well known luxurious boutique hotels in Bangkok. The suites at this hotel range from spacious Superior Suites to multi bedroom Tower Club Rooms, they’re so large in fact, they feel more like a private residence rather than a hotel. Cause these suites come with private balconies, a full kitchenette, and just like the Shanghai Mansion above, a personalized butler and concierge service.

What sets Lebua apart from the other boutique hotels in Old Town is that it leans heavily into its “Tower” aspect. The Sky Bar, Sirocco, and Mezzaluna (a two Michelin Star restaurant) all offer cocktails and fine dining dishes that take advantage of the romantic and panoramic vistas of the Bangkok city skyline. Aside from sky high facilities, the Lebua also features a full spa, a pool deck, and a gym. For a couple’s trip, it’s worth booking a Sunset Dinner Cruise, Michelin-starred dinner at Mezzaluna, or Sky Bar cocktail package.

Pros

  • Spacious suites with private balconies, full kitchenettes & living areas

  • Iconic dining options (Sky Bar, Sirocco, Mezzaluna) offering romantic views & fine dining

  • Excellent wellness facilities: outdoor pool, spa, and gym

  • Top tier service, including butler assistance, and complimentary tuk-tuk services

Cons

  • Lebua is an older boutique hotel and so the decor might be a bit too “classic” for some

  • Expensive. Very expensive.

Best Boutique Hotels in Siam/Pathumwan

Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri

Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri

I quite like the classic decore at the Grande Centre Point Hotel

If you want your accommodation to feel more like home then the Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri does a great job at blending the spacious comfort of condominium life with the personalized feel of boutique hotels in Bangkok. Many rooms come with full kitchenettes, washers/dryers, and separate living rooms. Very much like an actual condo home. All the necessary amenities are included of course, as well as some fun extras like a jacuzzi if you don’t mind upgrading your room.

The hotel’s facilities feel more like a couples’ retreat rather than a hotel. The semi-circular pool surrounded by tropical greenery and sun loungers is both beautiful and peaceful. The spa, sauna, fitness centre, indoor jacuzzi, and even a game room or karaoke lounge offer plenty of options for downtime together. There are dining options but those are pretty average. To me, Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri is a bit different to the other boutique hotels in Bangkok, its more like a home away from home, so perfect for if you intend to stay in Bangkok for a while.

Pros

  • Spacious, condo-style rooms with kitchenettes, washers, and living areas

  • Lush outdoor pool and wellness facilities, perfect to unwind and enjoy life

  • Good location, 5 minute walk to Ratchadamri BTS, easy access to Siam shopping malls

Cons

  • Some rooms feel dated and may need renovation, especially kitchenettes

  • Not really any luxury extras compared to other boutique hotels in Bangkok

  • Occasional noise issues like old AC units, corridor sounds, and busy street traffic (though that’s to be expected when in the Bangkok city center)

Arnoma Grand

Arnoma Grand

A simple room but a reliable one

Arnoma Grand Bangkok is a solid choice if you’re looking for boutique hotels in Bangkok that give you space, comfort, and location without completely draining your wallet. The location is perfect, slap bang right in the middle of Siam and exactly across the road from the CentralWorld shopping mall, plus convenient access to the BTS Skytrain and other malls like Siam Paragon, and Central Embassy (not actually an embassy). The rooms are big, comes with a bathtub, and even a washer. t’s not the newest hotel around, but the staff are warm, the rooms are clean, and the little things like free minibar snacks made it feel like great value.

What makes this Arnoma a great choice for a boutique hotel, in my opinion is the relaxing facilities. The pool is semi-indoor, with a Jacuzzi and a natural leafy decor that contrasts the concrete jungles of downtown Bangkok. There’s also a small gym, sauna, and spa on-site, which is perfect for winding down. I’d recommend booking a room with breakfast included, the buffet isn’t huge, but the Thai dishes were legit. Arnoma is a solid, no frills, boutique hotel in central Bangkok.

Pros

  • Perfect central location next to CentralWorld and Chit Lom BTS

  • Spacious rooms with bathtubs, blackout curtains, and strong Wi-Fi

  • Good selection of facilities like an indoor/outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna.

Cons

  • Solid hotel but really nothing special or fancy

  • The age of the hotel shows with the dated decor

Centara Grand at Central World Hotel

Centara Grand at Central World Hotel

Part hotel, part shopping mall, what could be more peak commercialisation?

I’ll be honest it’s hard to find intimate boutique hotels in Bangkok’s Siam district, the general nature of this commercial district doesn’t lend itself well to cozy, luxury intimacy. With that in mind, I think the Centara Grand ad CentralWorld is one of the top picks for boutique hotels in Bangkok that blend upscale comfort with a prime city-center location.

Located atop CentralWorld mall, this hotel offers direct BTS skywalk access, bright spacious rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, plush king-size beds, in-room safes, and deep bathtubs. But if you’re looking to up your experience there is always the Club Deluxe Rooms where you can enjoy the World Executive Lounge which comes with private check-in, daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and complimentary evening beverages.

There are plenty of facilities for you to enjoy as well, the outdoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi and Zing Juice Bar are nice, while the LifeStyles Fitness Centre, Rooftop Tennis Courts, and Spa Cenvaree cover wellness and recreation. I wonder how many tennis balls have been lost… As for dining, there’s the Red Sky Restaurant & Bar, the UNO MAS which serves delectable Spanish tapas, the CRU Champagne Bar that is ideal for intimate champagne evenings, and more…

While not intimate like the other boutique hotels in Bangkok, Centara Grand sure is very luxurious and perfect for if you want to pamper and treat yourself to a day of fine luxury.

Pros

  • Direct access to CentralWorld, and walkable to BTS via skywalk

  • So many great dining options

  • A complete suite of wellness facilities

Cons

  • Dining options are very pricey…

  • Hotel is large and very business-like, so might not fit the intimate boutique hotel vibe you are looking for

Best Boutique Hotels in Sukhumvit

Ambassador Hotel Bangkok

Ambassador Hotel Bangkok

The Ambassador Hotel Pool looks nice

The lively Sukhumvit Soi 11 in the Nana area is where you can find Ambassador Hotel Bangkok a fine choice among the plethora of boutique hotels in Bangkok. This hotel is on the larger side with approximately 760 rooms across the Main Wing and Sky Wing. I personally enjoyed the Deluxe Sky Wing room’s view of Sukhumvit which also includes plush and comfy bedding. The hospitality here is good friendly and my experiences with a late check in was smooth, also housekeeping kept our room spotless, and the front desk gave helpful recommendations for nightlife and food spots nearby.

As for facilities, the Ambassador hotel has a good well rounded selection of things to do, from an outdoor pool, a Jacuzzi, a fitness center, and a spa complete with steam rooms, saunas, and a hot tub. Dining is also versatile, Am Café serves international buffets, Hong Teh Chinese Restaurant offers dim sum and your usual Cantonese classics, and Espresso 171 and Espresso 11 are great for coffee and pastries. There’s also this cool basement nightclub called “Climax” (kinda sus but ok) if you are into partying.

Speaking of partying, with the Ambassador Hotel being in Nana, there is plenty of nightlife fun to be had. But honestly, Nana is quite a seedy location, with bars, clubs, and the infamous “Nana Plaza” but if you are aware of your surroundings, and just use common sense regarding safety then you’ll be ok.

Pros

  • Spacious, modernized rooms in Sky Wing with minibars, kettles, and safes

  • All the facilities you need, outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, sauna, gym, and spa facilities

  • Multiple on site dining options: Am Café buffet, Hong Teh, Espresso 171/11, Sushi Bar , etc…

  • Excellent location, close to Nana BTS, bars, restaurants, and nightlife

Cons

  • Large hotel may feel less intimate than the other smaller boutique hotels in Bangkok

  • A lot of noise due to nearby nightclub and busy streets

  • Depending on your room package, spa and gym access may incur additional fees…

Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15

Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15

Movenpick is more green than some parks in Bangkok

Just 7 minutes from the Asoke BTS station and the Terminal 21 shopping mall, down a surprisingly quiet little street, is the Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15. This one is a very special hotel with rooftop jungle decorations, a super chill pool deck, and a moody rooftop bar that practically begs you to get drunk on cocktails. This might be one of the better boutique hotels in Bangkok in terms of design and aesthetic, but of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The rooms are very modern and spacious, with blackout curtains, rain showers, and of course extra comfy beds. And if you book a suite or an executive room, you’ll have access to the exclusive lounge and complimentary evening drinks. Speaking of which facilities, there’s the usual gym, and rooftop pool, but up top is also the charming Rainforest Rooftop Bar, the one that’s decorated like the Amazon, jokes aside it’s a very cool and relaxing place to spend the evening with your partner, also, downstairs is the 24 hour Lelawadee Restaurant that serves Thai and Mediterranean dishes for you to enjoy.

Pros

  • Quiet and comfortable side street location with free tuk-tuk shuttle to Terminal 21

  • The Rainforest Rooftop Bar with the pools and the lounging area is the highlight of Mövenpick

  • Executive Lounge access includes complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails

Cons

  • Rooftop area and lounge may get crowded during peak times, especially during the evening

La Petite Salil Sukhumvit 11

La Petite Salil Sukhumvit 11

Look at that, so cozy, so vintage, so boutique!

I love La Petite Salil, in the same area as the Ambassador Hotel is a cozy and incredibly stylish hotel that just screams classical European opulence. The standout for me is obviously the design of the hotel, with pastel French doors, floral decor, and an overall chic appearance. It’s feels like Emily in Paris, which is fitting when you think about the impression that boutique hotels will give off. This hotel is located in Sukhumvit Soi 11 (Nana), the previously mentioned area with a lot of nightlife, so La Petite Salil is like a contrast, a bit of escapism if you will.

The rooms are honestly quite compact, but it does make it feel cozy. But in my opinion the amenities and facilities are what sets this boutique hotel apart from the rest in Bangkok. You get complimentary Book and DVD rentals (Couples movie night, anyone?), a free welcome drink on arrival, and the Cade de Salil Restaurant which also doubles as an open air café/bar, that serves the hotel’s breakfast buffet and tasty Thai International fusion dishes. Also there is even a live DJ sometimes.

Out of the many boutique hotels in Bangkok, La Petite Salil is one of my all time favorites and I definitely recommend you stay at least a night here.

Pros

  • A very intimate and stylish boutique vibe with floral and pastel design

  • Cozy amenities like a minibar, DVD player (with DVDs), coffee station, welcome drinks, are included

  • The funky Cade de Salil restaurant is a fun place to hangout and grab a few bites and drinks

Cons

  • Rooms are a bit on the smaller side compared to the other boutique hotels in Bangkok.

  • If you’re staying on the lower floors, good luck sleeping through the noise of Nana’s nightlife

  • No pool, spa, or gym, compact hotel doesn’t have enough room for that

Final Thoughts: Best Boutique Hotels in Bangkok

Best Boutique Hotels in Bangkok Shanghai Mansion Bangkok

They’re really pushing the 1930s Shanghai theme at the Shanghai Mansion Bangkok

So as you can see, Bangkok has no shortage of amazing hotels, it is a massive city for tourism after all. but if you’re looking to rest at some place a little more personal, these boutique hotels in Bangkok that I recommended are some of the best that I have personally stayed at, and what my friends and fellow travelers have recommended me. But in summary, I’ll give you my top boutique hotel for each location:

For these boutique hotels, to be honest every hotel I’ve mentioned, I recommend booking early especially during the peak travel seasons like Summer and Winter. Sites like Agoda or Booking.com will often have cheaper and discounted prices if you book long before your actual stay.

If you’re a solo traveler or are looking for cheaper accommodations, one where you could potentially meet some amazing people and make new friends, check out my recommendations for the best party hostels in Bangkok.

General Bangkok Travel Tips

Bangkok travel tips wat traimit

Wat Traimit in the Old Town areas of Bangkok

Here are some travel tips that might help you when traveling in Bangkok, or Thailand in general. For a more comprehensive list, you can read my 50 Things to Know Before Traveling to Thailand blog post.

Best Time to Visit Bangkok

I’d say the best time to visit Bangkok is during the cool and dry season, from November - February, when temperatures are more manageable (averaging 25–30°C) and the humidity is lower. This is the perfect window for couples to explore temples, take scenic boat rides along the Chao Phraya River, or enjoy rooftop dinners without melting in the heat.

March - May is another good option, It’s a bit quiter due to being an off-season for most travelers, and the weather is bright and sunny. Maybe too sunny, be prepared for sweltering hot weather.

How to Get Around Bangkok from Your Hotel

The BTS Skytrain and MRT subway are the most convenient options for if you’re staying at one of the boutique hotels in Bangkok. Traffic is known to be excrutiating, and the trains negate all of that pain. If you do wanna decide to suffer through traffic or the place your going is not easily accessible by train, then Grab or Bolt (ride-hailing apps) are my recommendations, Taxis are ok but they are known to be quite scummy to tourists... I wouldn’t recommend a tuk-tuk because they’re also scummy and very touristy, maybe just for the experience but don’t rely on it for transport unless it’s provided by the hotel.

If it’s your first time in Bangkok and you’d like a local guide then going on something like this Private and Customizable Bangkok Day Tour will make exploring and getting around Bangkok much easier

Packing Tips for Bangkok

Lightweight and breathable clothing! Umbrellas! Portable Fans! Anything to keep your body cool because believe me Bangkok is hellishly hot, and if you’re here during the humid rainy months? Good Luck…

Other Thailand packing list essentials should include comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and the all important mosquito repellent (must have). Another thing unique to Thailand is that you should a bring a set of modest clothing, because every temple throughout Thailand will refuse you entry if you are wearing revealing or inappropriate clothes. So bring a pair of long legged pants and a proper t-shirt, this goes for both men and women!

As for plug sockets, Thailand uses Type A, B, and C plugs, be sure to have adapters ready.
